The Career Advisor & Employer Partnership Manager will be responsible for managing the student career development and job placement functions. This person will partner with the admissions, marketing, and instructor teams to deploy policies, processes, programs, and initiatives to meet job placement goals. She or he will also drive the innovation, implementation, and optimization of best practices pertaining to job placement, student career development, and other related topics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a primary job placement professional for all bootcamp graduate career advice needs, connecting talent with employers.
  • Ensure there is an effective, full life-cycle job placement process with job placement strategies including research, outreach, interview preparation and written communication support.
  • Work collaboratively with graduates to match skills, aptitude and interest for open positions.
  • Design and revise resumes and cover letters to facilitate successful job applications.
  • Design, plan, organize, and conduct training and development programs for students and graduates that improve career options.
  • Partner with admissions, instructor and marketing teams and other leaders in the organization to determine best solutions for student development and learning paths.
  • Develop communication to educate students and graduates on hiring opportunities, training resources and other career development tools.
  • Provide support for admissions activities, working with the student success officer to interview and onboard bootcamp applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or other related fields
  • 1+ years’ experience in Human Resources
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices and latest trends and benchmark data in talent acquisition and learning and development
  • Successful track record in job placement and career development
  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Maintain and build relationships with students and employers at all levels

  • Excellent relationship building, influencing, consultative and partnering skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have proven ability to modify communication/style/approach based on audience
  • Strong project and change management skills including experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience in using Social Media for job opportunity sourcing (using forums like Linked-in, Glassdoor, twitter, discussions forums, blogs etc.) required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with numerous concurrent projects; efficient multi-tasking skills are essential
